So you're interested in Faeria? We're glad you're here! There can be a lot to take in when you first start Faeria and this page is meant to help you get on your feet.

Sign Up[ | ]

You can acquire the game at Steam. Once you've downloaded the game and created your account you are ready to begin.

Baby Steps[ | ]

When you first log in you will be shown a screen which looks something like this:

These missions are Tutorials which will teach you the mechanics of the game through a series of fun matches. In addition, completing these missions will unlock new cards for your collection! After completing these quests you should have a good understanding of the basic mechanics of the game.

More Practice[ | ]

With the tutorial missions out of the way you are now free to play Faeria how you see fit. At this point there are a few things I would recommend.

Solo Mode[ | ]

In Solo mode you can battle against the AI and complete more missions. I highly recommend completing these as they not only give a good introduction to the mechanics of each color, but they also reward you with cards and gold which you can spend in the Shop.

Deckbuilding[ | ]

Now that you have some cards in your collection you can begin building your own decks. In the beginning it is a great idea to use the Codex to build decks. The codex groups cards with good synergies together so that you can see how cards interact. Playing with a few codex created decks is a good way for you to test some of the basics of deckbuilding. For some deckbuilding tips see Deckbuilding.

Coming of Age[ | ]

So you've gained some cards and honed your skills on the AI, now what? Now it is time to test your mettle against other players! Below Solo mode is an option for Battle mode. In Battle mode you can play against other players in both ranked and unranked matchups. I would recommend playing in unranked for now so you can focus on having fun and not worry about your rank. The unranked queue takes into account your player level, your collection size, and a hidden matchmaking rating known as ELO. At the start you will be matched with other new players so you don't have to worry about your skills not being up to snuff, both you and your opponent will be learning! Playing unranked is a good way to level and gain gold to grow your collection while trying out your deckbuilding skills.
When you feel you are ready it will be time to step into the world of ranked play. No one knows everything about the game and even the best players are constantly learning new things about the game, so don't worry about being an expert before you step into ranked. You might surprise yourself at how far you can get!

Most Important Tip[ | ]

Just play! Playing in Battle and Pandora modes allow you to complete Daily Quests which grant gold when completed. In addition you are awarded 10 gold for every win and for each level you gain you are awarded 1 free Booster pack. Just by playing the game you can grow your collection and you get to have fun while doing it!
